Translations

Languagelady has been providing translations from French and Spanish into English since 2000.  Last year the proprietor, Jenny Whiteley, celebrated 10 years as a freelance translator. Jenny specialises in legal, environmental and historical translations.

How we work
All our translations are provided in house by the proprietor Jenny Whiteley who is a fully qualified and experienced translator. The advantage for the client is that there is no middleman. You can discuss your translation directly with the translator before, during and after the translation. As part of our quality checks the completed translation is checked by an experienced proofreader before it is sent out.

Requesting a translation

Translation fees are calculated on a per thousand word basis. If you are interested in a quote for a translation you should phone or email in the first instance and if possible e-mail either a sample of the text or the whole text if it is short. Please indicate your contact details and give an idea of when you would like the translation. The translator will then contact you to answer any questions you may have and to give you a quote for the work. If you accept the quote and authorise the translator to go ahead with the translation you will be sent an invoice with the completed translation.

Other services
We can also provide glossaries and terminologies to accompany the translation. If you just require a summary or an idea of the contents please let us know.
